Presidents Cup winners and losers: Internationals

The Internationals failed to make history at Medinah but here we take a look at the winners and losers from the 2026 Presidents Cup.

Winners

Geoff Ogilvy

He was brilliant throughout and especially in lining his side up for the Singles – their poor play on Sunday shouldn’t be attributed to the captain. Give him the job in two year’s time on home soil (plus the freedom to pick from any International player like Joaco Niemann, Lucas Herbert and Dean Burmester) and he might just get that first win in 12 tries.

Tom Kim

Coming of age for Tom Kim, who was the life and soul of the team alongside Sungjae Im and Si woo Kim. Winning his Singles on Sunday was another featther in his cap. Have to build future sides around him … he’s a baller.

Nick Taylor

2.5 points … no one would’ve predicted it. Sterling performance from the Canadian.

Losers

Adam Scott

Scored one point. Lost his Singles. Not too many highlights given that the Internationals were on the brink of something extremely special heading into Sunday. He was hammered with Im on Saturday and was two down early in his Singles match after a slow start.

Hideki Matsuyama

Same boat at Scott except he scored 2 points all week. He was the opposite of Scott in the Singles after he found himself 2UP through six. With history on the line … he choked. Made just one birdie after that, a bogey at the last to lose the match and how many missed short putts for the week?

Corey Connors

Two foursomes points alongside Nick Taylor. But how many times did he find the Out of Bounds in the first few holes all week? Like Hideki, his short putting is truly woeful and was duly hammered by Justin Thomas in the Singles 5&3.
