• PIF drops several LET events to focus on one

    The PIF Global Series will no longer be on the Ladies European Tour after 2026, according to a Golf Saudi release.

    The Saudi-backed series has delivered 29 events since it began in 2021.

    The 2026 PIF Global Series included five events and a total of $15 million in purses, which, without the two majors, represents more than half of the LET’s total prize funds.

    This year’s PIF-backed events were held in Saudi Arabia, Vegas, London and upcoming events to be played in Seoul and Shenzhen, China.

    Nelly Korda, Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and Jeeno Thitikul all count themselves as champions of these events.

    Now, Golf Saudi will focus on one main event, the PIF London Championship, which will have a new name, date and partner for 2027.
