Matt Wallace finished moving day level par, but still holds a three-shot lead going into Sunday’s final round of the Open de Portugal.

Wallace leads by three from Germany’s Sebastian Heisele, who shot -2 on Saturday.

It could’ve been done and dusted for Wallace after Saturday, but he cancelled out his four birdies with four bogeys at the Morgado Golf Resort.

South Africa’s Erik Van Rooyen remains well-placed for a good pay cheque, despite a 1 under 72. Bogeys at the par 3 5 and 17 holes hampered his progress. Van Rooyen is -10 for his three day’s efforts, but is seven shots off Wallace’s tally.

Jaco Ahlers is T29 after he matched Van Rooyen’s score on Saturday.

Zander Lombard went 21 places back after a third round 75, while Trevor Fisher Jnr was another Saffa to struggle after he plummeted 41 places down the leaderboard with a 78 on Saturday.

Justin Walters and Christiaan Bezuidenhout missed the cut.
