Matt Wallace will take a three-shot lead into the final round of the Scottish Championship after a pretty decent six-under-par 66 round on Saturday.

The Englishman managed his second bogey-free round of the week by converting four birdies and one brilliant eagle, which came on the par-four 7th hole after Wallace drove on to the green from the tee.

By finishing the day on 18 under par, Wallace will be eager to deliver another smooth performance on Sunday and hoping to secure a fifth European Tour title.

The 30-year-old is, however, surrounded by challengers with Garrick Porteous fairly in contention on 15 under after his excellent round of 66 on Saturday.

American Sean Crocker will start the final round in fourth spot and four strokes behind the leader, while Eddie Pepperell, Chris Paisley and Jonathan Caldwell are all on 13 under par for the week and in T5.

Compleat Golfer playing editor Brandon Stone is the best-placed South African on nine under par after his round of 70 on Saturday.

Bryce Easton shot another even-par round of 72 to remain on seven under for the week. He will challenge on Sunday from T20.

Following his brilliant comeback on Friday, Justin Harding could only manage a one-over-par 73 on Saturday that dropped him down to four under for the event, while Justin Walters went two over for his third round to finish the day on two under par.
