America’s Brendon Todd will take a one-shot lead into the final round of the WGC-FedEx St Jude Invitational, while Louis Oosthuizen will begin Sunday’s action in T6.
Todd carded a third-round 69 on Saturday, which just puts him ahead of Byeong Hun An on 12 under par, while Rickie Fowler is just a further stroke behind.
Oosthuizen also continued his solid week in Memphis with a composed two-under-par 68 in his third round, which included four birdies and two drop shots.
It means he will head into the final day of play on seven under par an in touching distance of the leaders.
Fellow countryman Christiaan Bezuidenhout, however, blasted his way into contention on Saturday with a stunning round of six-under-par 64 at Southwind.
Bezuidenhout’s putter was doing the damage throughout his round with three birdies on the front nine, including one bogey, before he took advantage on the back nine by rolling in four birdies in five holes.
He will start Sunday’s fourth round just one shot behind Oosthuizen on six under and in T10.
Erik van Rooyen fared slightly better in his third round on Saturday by shooting a good two-under-par 68, which saw him go one under for the event.
Unfortunately Shaun Norris dropped even further down the leaderboard on Saturday with another challenging round of 72.
