    Justin Harding
    Rich rewards

A maiden European Tour win in Qatar comes with a significant boost to the bank account – a whopping R4 214 352 – for Justin Harding.

Harding’s triumph – his fifth in 10 months – was a financially rewarding one as it not only proves his place at this level but also gives him a massive push in his bid to qualify for the season-ending DP World Championship in Dubai.

The 33-year-old is likely to sit one place outside the top 50 in the world as the race now turns to The Masters qualification which closes at the end of the month.

Harding will be looking to continue his form and follow in Dylan Frittelli’s footsteps of using the European Tour as a leapfrog into the Masters field and possibly a dash at a PGA TOUR card.

Fellow Saffas Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Erik van Rooyen and George Coetzee all finished in the nine-men group sharing second place. They banked R1 119 655 to help ease their frustration and not joining Harding at -13 on Sunday.
