South African duo Bryce Easton and Louis de Jager have been paired together for the opening two rounds of the Italian Open.

The 77th edition of the event tees off at Chervo Golf Club in Brescia on Thursday, where Austria’s Bernd Wiesberger will be out to defend his title.

Easton, though, finished as the highest-placed South African at last week’s Scottish Championship, where he secured a T16 in cold and windy conditions at Fairmont St Andrews.
