South African duo Bryce Easton and Louis de Jager have been paired together for the opening two rounds of the Italian Open.
The 77th edition of the event tees off at Chervo Golf Club in Brescia on Thursday, where Austria’s Bernd Wiesberger will be out to defend his title.
Easton, though, finished as the highest-placed South African at last week’s Scottish Championship, where he secured a T16 in cold and windy conditions at Fairmont St Andrews.
He will partner De Jager on Thursday and Friday in a grouping that also includes Frenchman Romain Wattel.
Justin Walters will also be in action once again as one of the early starters on Thursday, when he tees off alongside England’s Laurie Canter and Spaniard Alvaro Quiros.
Young talent Wilco Nienaber will return to the Tour for the first time since last month’s Dubai Duty Free Irish Open and will playing with Jamie Donaldson and Alejandro Canizares for the first two days.
Dean Burmester, on the other hand, will be wanting a bit more consistency this week alongside Aron Zemmer and Jonathan Caldwell, while JC Ritchie will complete the South African contingent when he gets going with Giulio Castagnara and Mathieu Fenasse.
All the action will be live on SuperSport Golf (213) from 12:30pm on Thursday.
