    Frittelli jumped 27 places

    Turkish Airlines Open runner-up Dylan Frittelli and Challenge Tour graduate Erik Van Rooyen climbed steadily up the official world rankings on Monday.

    Frittelli, who won the Lyoness Open, moved back inside the top 100 after his solid display in Turkey earned him a rankings boost of 27 places. The 27-year-old is now ranked 75th in the world, one position lower than his all-time best, which came after he finished T14 at the BMW International Open.

    Compatriot Van Rooyen matched the jump made by Frittelli with a 27-place move of his own after finishing T3 at the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final. The Eye of Africa PGA Championship winner is now at his best ranking as he moves past Jaco Van Zyl and Haydn Porteous with a string of fine performances.

    Louis Oosthuizen, who will play this week at the Nedbank Golf Challenge and in the Joburg Open, remains SA’s best-placed golfer and was unmoved in 23rd place. Charl Schwartzel is down one place to 33, and Branden Grace dropped two spots to 44th.

    There was no change in the top six places, with Justin Rose remaining behind Jon Rahm despite his win in Turkey.
