• Will King Louis reclaim The Open throne?

    Louis Oosthuizen The Open
    Louis Oosthuizen

Louis Oosthuizen will tee off on Sunday afternoon at Royal St George’s Golf Club with a one-shot lead over Collin Morikawa.

After a couple of near misses in 2021 already, Oosthuizen has a golden opportunity to finally break his Major drought by winning his second Major, second Open Championship, as well as become only the seventh golfer in history to win The Open going wire to wire for 72 holes.

Saturday was an up-and-down affair for the smooth-swinging South African. Oosthuizen started brightly, going out in 33 before dropping shots at the 11th and 13th hole. A superb tee shot on the short 16th hole set up his final birdie of the third round.

Once again, King Louis was magnificent from tee to green, hardly missing a shot. He will be looking to carry this form into the final round in the hope that his putter warms up again for what is sure to be an almighty tussle for the right to be called the Champion Golfer of the Year for 2021.
