David Puig has opted out of the 2.0 version of LIV Golf following fellow Spaniards Sergio Garcia and Jon Rahm as recent departures.
While confirming his exit, he praised LIV Golf for its impact on his game.
“It’s been wonderful,” Puig added.
“Being able to play in the Spanish Open, winning on the European and Asian tours, being in the top 100 of the rankings… it’s made me a better player.
“I’ve been surrounded by incredibly talented players and I’m very grateful.”
Puig initially played for Torque GC before switching to the Fireballs.
“I don’t see myself playing in LIV 2.0 next year,” Puig told reporters at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid.
“It’s a decision I’ve practically made. I’ve always really enjoyed my time on the European Tour and I hope to play here more next year with a fuller schedule.”
The Spaniard is regarded as a rising star with three professional titles worldwide, highlighted by the BMW Australian PGA Championship at the end of 2025.
