Tiger Woods was taken into police custody

Tiger Woods was ‘asleep at the wheel’ on the shoulder of the road when he was found by police, according to a probable cause affidavit, writes WADE PRETORIUS.

The 41-year-old has been at the eye of a DUI storm after being arrested on Monday, with more details emerging almost hourly.

The affidavit states that Woods was wearing his seat belt, his vehicle running, the brake lights on and the right blinker was flashing.

The police noted him to be slow and slurred in speech, confused, but co-operative.

His breathalyser test results were .000 on two occasions.

The ‘Driver’s Statements’ reads: ‘Woods stated he was coming from L.A. California from golfing. Woods stated that he did not know where he was. Woods had changed his story of where he was going and where he was coming from. Woods asked how far from his house he was. It should be noted that Woods was heading south bound away from Hobe Sound. Takes several prescriptions.’

Woods’ arraignment is scheduled for 5 July in a local court.
