    Walters celebrates another putt dropping

Justin Walters added R638,385 to his season earnings after a final round 64 at the BMW International lifted him into the top 10 in Germany.

The South African enjoyed another successful week as he ended four shots shy of Matt Wallace’s winning total but crucially added 47,120 points to his tally in the Race to Dubai.

Walters’ finish capped an up-and-down week after he opened with a 76 before firing a 67 to make the cut. Another mid-70s round followed before he climbed 33 places on Sunday.

Just four of the 10 South Africans that started the week were able to bank some winnings with Christiaan Bezuidenhout next best in a share of 33rd place.

Bezuidenhout took home R230,403 with Saffa pair Haydn Porteous and Richard Sterne earning R122,848 for finishing in 51st place.

South Africa’s Race to Dubai leader is Branden Grace in 20th place with Louis Oosthuizen next in 24th with Dylan Frittelli now 30th after a few weeks off in Europe.

Walters is 107th as he looks to avoid another trip back to Q-School.
