Jacques Kallis, Percy Montgomery, Kurt Darren and many more former sport stars and celebrities have signed up to play in the Vodacom Shop Celebrity Golf Day presented by Safari Outdoor on Thursday 19 October 2017 at Pearl Valley at Val de Vie Estate.
A highlight on the Winelands events calendar for a number of years now, this gives golfers the chance to tee it up alongside a celebrity in a fun-filled day with plenty of extras to make it one of the most memorable days on the course.
This year Olympic gold medallist Ryk Neethling has brought on board former rugby players Percy Montgomery, Tiaan Strauss, Rob Louw, Ernst Joubert, Werner Greeff, and 1995 World Cup winner Chester Williams to add spice to the day.
Former Springbok coach turned pundit Nick Mallett is also in the mix.
There are not only rugby stars turning out for the good cause, with former Proteas stars Jacques Kallis, Herschelle Gibbs and Jacques Rudolph also to be auctioned off, as well as current Proteas seamer Vernon Philander.
If sport isn’t quite your thing, then Maps Maponyane, Reuben Riffel, Thomas Msengana and Kurt Darren could also be joining your four-ball for the day.
The event, in aid of the Val de Vie Foundation, provides support for a better life for all in the Paarl-Franschhoek Valley. Proceeds from the 2017 Celebrity Golf Day will go to 2nd Harvest Foodbank at the Paarl School of Skills, who have made it their mission to eradicate hunger in the Berg River Valley.
