• Garcia, TaylorMade part ways

Sergio Garcia wins the 81st Masters
    Garcia is reaping the rewards

After 15 years and 19 worldwide wins, including the 2017 Masters, Sergio Garcia is a free agent after parting ways with TaylorMade.

Garcia left Titleist for TaylorMade in 2002, but is now once again able to choose the club supplier of his choice. The move comes after TaylorMade’s sale to KPS Capital Partners in May.

‘After a memorable 15-year partnership with Sergio Garcia, we have mutually agreed on a release from the remaining years of his TaylorMade contract,’  read a TaylorMade statement.

‘It has been an honour to play a role in his performance throughout his career, including the Players Championship, 19 worldwide wins, Ryder Cup heroics and his 2017 Masters win.

‘We congratulate Sergio on a career year and wish him all the best for the future.’

The move does not come as a complete surprise, with Garcia testing out Odyssey putters, Callaway wedges as well as Callaway’s Epic driver in recent times.
