    Tiger Woods was taken into police custody

    Former world No 1 Tiger Woods was taken into custody at 3am on suspicion over driving under the influence, writes WADE PRETORIUS.

    Local law enforcement confirmed that Woods was booked into jail and released with no bond a few hours later.

    The 14-time Major winner lives in Jupiter, Florida. He was booked at 07:18 and released at 10:50.

    According to reports, Woods was ‘driving erratically, all over the road’, refused to take a breathalyser and was ‘arrogant’ to the officers on the scene. Further reports indicate that dashcam footage of the incident is set to be released on Tuesday.

    This is the second incident involving car problems for Woods, who crashed into a fire hydrant outside of his home in 2009. In was discovered in the aftermath that Woods had been unfaithful to his then-wide, Elin Nordegren.
