Justin Thomas will take a one-shot lead into the final round of the Zozo Championship after carding another solid 67 on Saturday.

The former FedEx Cup champion has been in contention from the opening day at Sherwood Country Club and managed to add to his brilliance with a round of five under par on moving day.

Six birdies and a single drop shot saw Thomas finish the third round on 19 under and one stroke ahead of Spain’s Jon Rahm, who shot a spectacular 9-under-par 63 on Saturday.

Rahm, who finished runner-up during last season’s FedEx Cup, rolled in seven birdies and sank a brilliant eagle for a bogey-free display.

Hot on his heals, however, is Lanto Griffin, who will start Sunday’s final round on 17 under par, while Sebastian Munoz, Ryan Palmer and Patrick Cantlay are a further stroke back and in T4.

South Africa’s Dylan Frittelli had a rather quiet day in California after starting the third round in second spot.

Frittelli was still able to shoot a two-under-par 70 for his third round and will launch a challenge on Sunday on 15 under for the week and four strokes behind Thomas.
