LIV Golf might need to file for bankruptcy before it relaunches as LIV Golf 2.0 but that leaves Jon Rahm with a R2.4 billion headache.
As the future of the league continues to dominate headlines, another twist in the tale is what happens to the money that remains outstanding to the players.
According to a leading golf journalist, LIV Golf owes LIV golfers in excess of $250 million combined from contracts they signed.
The biggest portion of the lump sum is Jon Rahm who allegedly is still owed as much as $150 million or R2.4 billion.
What happens next? Does Rahm walk away? Does he convert the money he’s owed into equity in LIV Golf 2.0? More questions than answers at this point.
LIV Golf is in action this week at LIV Golf New York.
