South Africa’s James Kamte has been withdrawn from the Alfred Dunhill Championship after his caddie tested positive for Covid-19 at Leopard Creek.
The decision was taken by the Sunshine Tour and European Tour organisers due to the close contact between himself and his caddie.
In line with the South African National Institute for Communicable Diseases’ guidelines, both the 38-year-old Kamte and his caddie will now have to conduct a period of self-isolation.
Both the Sunshine Tour and European Tour will offer undivided support to the two parties throughout this period.
The event tees off early on Thursday morning where Pablo Larrazabal will be out to defend his title. All the action will be live on SuperSport Golf (213) from 12pm.
