Branden Grace’s putter may have received the accolades as he stormed past Louis Oosthuizen to grab the SA Open title, but the win also moved him into an elite band of players.
Grace’s win was his 10th since the start of 2012 across the PGA and European Tours, a milestone significant in the fact that it allowed him to join a club with only seven other players.
Profilic on home soil, the South African joined Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, Jason Day, Jordan Spieth, Justin Rose, Justin Thomas and Tiger Woods as the only players with 10 or more wins since 2012 on golf’s two biggest stages.
Outside his home country, Grace has won two titles in Qatar, the Volvo China Open and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship to go with his 2016 RBC Heritage win.
