A South African remains in contention for a place on the 2026 LIV Golf League after progressing to the final weekend of LIV Golf Promotions at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida.
Oliver Bekker carded a solid five-under-par 67 in Friday’s second round to finish safely inside the cut, advancing with 21 other players who will now compete over the final 36 holes for three available wild card spots. Scores reset ahead of the weekend showdown.
South Korea’s Jeunghun Wang continued his strong form to lead the field on five-under 65, while Canadian Richard T Lee, Sweden’s Bjorn Hellgren and Thailand’s Sadom Kaewkanjana were among the closest challengers on 66. Nine players, including Bekker, signed for 67 as conditions toughened late in the day.
Former Major winner Anthony Kim also squeezed through on the number, holing a clutch birdie putt at the last to post a one-under 69, while Zimbabwean Kieran Vincent and Australia’s Matt Jones were among those to advance with matching rounds.
With just three LIV Golf League places on offer, the stakes rise sharply over the final two rounds as the remaining contenders look to seize their opportunity at Black Diamond Ranch.
