For the 57th time since 1929, historic Riviera Country Club hosts the biggest stars on the PGA TOUR for the 2019 Genesis Open.
Reigning TOUR championship winner Tiger Woods is playing at the event and doubles as the tournament host in Los Angeles. Woods has never won there despite a rich history with the course. He made his first PGA TOUR start at age 16 at Riviera back in 1992 and missed the cut. Last year, he missed it again, but that proved to be a foil of what was to come.
Woods now makes his 13th career start at Riviera this week, the only TOUR course where he’s never won in 10 or more attempts.
In 2018, Bubba Watson claimed his third Genesis Open title and 10th TOUR win.
