    MCB Tour Championship
    The venue this week

The morning has arrived for the playing of the seventh edition of the MCB Tour Championship, bringing the European Senior Tour year to a grand finale at the fitting venue of Constance Belle Mare Plage, Mauritius.

As the doors open to once again welcome players from across the globe the action promises to be as entertaining as ever.

The impressive field is made up of 12 Ryder Cup players including three captains’ namely Woosnam, Lehman and McGinley.

Five senior major winners and 35 European tour winners making up for a truly stellar field with guaranteed action. Last year’s winner, Barry Lane, returns for a hopeful second win and to possibly sneak away with the Order of Merit John Jacobs trophy. T

his would be from under the nose of rookie and current leader Clark Dennis who needs a win or outright second position to lift the trophy. In so doing he would be the first American to raise the trophy. Others in the running include South Africa’s Chris Williams and England’s Philip Golding. With an outside chance Lane, Broadhurst, Atlevi and Fowler could take it with a win, if others fall by the wayside.

Once again it will be played on the Legend golf course, which for the first time in many years has had very few changes leading up to the tournament.

Changes from 2016 have settled in well making the course more player and viewer friendly as well as allowing staff to condition the course to new heights for the spectacle.

Prior to the event amateurs from the world over are enjoying the Air Mauritius trophy and Constance Hotels Pro-Am with the pro’s getting some time to familiarise themselves with the course. A decadent week of golf, sun and entertainment is primed for action.
