The weekend’s champions, who played at the University of Texas together, both produced impressive performances.

Brandon Stone became the youngest winner of the South African Open Championship since Ernie Els, finishing the week at Glendower Golf Club two shots clear of his nearest rival.

Jordan Spieth became only the second player to go 30 under par in a PGA Tour event and claimed an eight-shot victory over Patrick Reed, while making the elite field look mediocre in comparison.
