Louis Oosthuizen dropped down the leaderboard at the weather-hit Singapore Open after finishing one over par for his second round on Friday.

Oosthuizen completed his first round with two pars before getting his second underway at the Serapong Course at Sentosa Golf Club. The former Open champion was one under par through nine but came home in 38 to drift away from contention.

Oosthuizen doubled the third and dropped two more shots and now sits three behind Chapchai NIRAT, who is one ahead of fellow South African Shaun Norris.

Norris, a winner on the Japan Tour last year, had two birdies in 12 holes before jumping up the leaderboard by sinking a 10-foot eagle putt at the par-five fourth (his 13th hole of the second round).

‘I’ve reached my goals and I’m happy with where I am. I think I’m in a good position,’ said Norris.

‘We always think it’s (the winning score) is going to be a lot lower than what it is. I think it can get to about 14 under par, but we’ll see what happens.’

Norris is joined by three others on -6, with one of those being 2017 Masters champion Sergio Garcia. The Spaniard has 10 holes to complete in his second round as the weather continued to delay proceedings.
